Durability Engineer Analyst (Maricopa, AZ)
Description: Kett Engineering is currently looking for a Durability Engineer Analyst to support vehicle durability test operations at our customer location in Maricopa, AZ. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for organizing, conducting and reporting all Durability testing issues related to Body systems in support of Durability test operations for our customer's Arizona Proving Grounds. This position will report directly to the Supervisor of Durability Test Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Analysis of Body component systems will be the primary focus.
- Work in a supporting role in the areas of Chassis and Brake testing.
- All aspects of diagnosis and repair of these systems.
- Engineering analysis of Body control/ management systems, both mechanical and electronic.
- Ensure that all test vehicles are at both current and future level software status.
- Ability to publish reports in various formats with clear verbal and written communication.
- Provide mentoring and support for workshop personnel on the latest related technical advancements.
- Evaluation, follow up and necessary reporting to the responsible departments within the VW Concern regarding test project status and vehicle/component performance.
- Knowledgeable with the current level VW/Audi standard tools used for Diagnosis. These items include and are not limited to the following: ODIS, VAS5XXX, iDex, Etc.
- Develop new test, evaluation and diagnostic procedures related to vehicle component durability testing.
- Support test/evaluation activities and test drives in various locations coordinated by the APG such as California, Texas, and Alaska.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in automotive, mechanical or environmental engineering.
- Pass drug screen and physical exam.
- Written and Verbal Communication skills in technical/engineering environments.
- Ability to interpret and apply quantitative methodologies.
- Self-motivated and dynamic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS-Word, PowerPoint, MS-Outlook and Excel.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive technical/engineering environment with emphasis on testing.
- Knowledge of German language Written and spoken.
- Knowledge of VW/Audi products preferred.
